The WarMouse Meta has been described as "the king of all computer mice", "the most insane mouse ever", "an 18-button freak", "the most advanced mouse we've ever seen" and "by far the best mouse I've ever owned". It is the first multi-button laser joystick mouse and features the fastest mouse interface in the world, with speeds tested 110% faster than high-performance gaming mice with conventional point-and-click interfaces. Unlike most gaming mice and application-specific input devices, its 18 buttons are truly programmable and can be assigned to two commands per application apiece. With 512k of flash memory, the Meta holds up to 3,072 game and application commands at one time.
The Meta is one of the first computer mice to incorporate an analog joystick and is the first mouse to permit the use of the joystick to press keyboard keys or trigger macros. In the three joystick-as-keyboard settings, the user can assign four, eight, or ten different commands to the joystick and each of the 64 modes stored in the mouse can utilize a different joystick setting. There are two analog joystick settings, and the user can choose between having seven joystick buttons available or using all 18 buttons as keyboard and/or mouse commands instead.
